MILTON, Mass- On October 29, the Curry College men's basketball team volunteered at the Walsh Middle School's 14th Annual 5k Fundraising Fun Run held at the Walsh Middle School in Framingham. The team helped with setup of the event, serving as the school mascots, and cheered on runners as they crossed the finish line.

The 5k event is in its 24th year with proceeds benefiting the Walsh "Best Buddies" Chapter and technology for the school. "The players really enjoyed helping out with such an enjoyable event and they are looking forward to coming back next year," said head men's basketball coach Matt LeVangie.

The Curry men's basketball team opens the 2016-17 season on November 15th when they host Lesley at 7:30 p.m.
