MILTON, Mass. - Visiting Endicott College took home a 77-57 victory over Curry College on Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action. The Gulls improved to 18-5 overall and 14-2 in conference play, while the Colonels fell to 5-18 on the season and 3-13 in league action.

Curry stayed close to the league's second-place team during the first seven minutes of the game, maintaining a small lead until Endicott sophomore Kamahl Walker (Worcester, Mass.) sank a three-pointer from beyond the arc with 13:39 on the clock (16-13). From this point forward, the Gulls controlled the rest of the frame, with their largest lead (40-23) coming at 1:39 after a made free throw by senior Matt Kneece (Shrewsbury, Mass.). With 46 seconds left on the clock, Colonels' freshman Damani Carter (Miami, Fla.) made a layup, only to be answered with a made layup by Walker, making the score 42-27 heading into intermission.

Curry opened up the second half with a layup by senior Matt Russell with 19:33 on the clock (42-29). Minutes later, at 17:06, Russell scored again, bringing the Colonels to within 16 (46-32). But that was as close as Curry would come, as Endicott maintained a double-digit lead throughout the remainder of the game, and coasted to the 77-57 victory.

The Gulls were led by sophomore classmates Walker and Max Motroni (West Warwick, R.I.). Walker scored a team-high 16 points and had five rebounds. Motroni scored 15 points. Senior Andre Makris (Southbury, Conn.) helped out with 11 points.  

Senior Antonio Jones (Dorchester, Mass.) paced the Colonels with a game-best 19 points. Classmate Matt Russell (South Portland, M.E.) had a game-high 13 rebounds, along with 10 points. Sophomore James Pina (Warwick, R.I.) chipped in with 11 points.

Both teams hit the road to resume conference action on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Endicott visits Wentworth, while Curry travels to University of New England.
