NEWARK, N.J. - The Curry College Men's Basketball Team opened its season with a 79-47 loss at Rutgers-Newark on the opening day of the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic in Newark, N.J.
Senior captain Antonio Jones (Dorchester, Mass.) was the game's high scorer with 22 points. Sophomore James Pina (Warwick, R.I.) led the Colonels on the boards with five rebounds.
Curry will now face Alfred State in the consolation game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
