36 Points from Jones Not Enough as Men's Basketball Falls to Endicott, 101-86
MILTON, Mass. – Visiting Endicott shot 63% from the field for the game, dealing Curry a 101-86 loss in men’s basketball action Saturday afternoon in Milton. The Gulls improve to 15-8 overall and 10-6 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action, while the Colonels fall to 10-13 overall and 8-8 in CCC play.

Gulls freshman John Henault (Lunenburg, Mass.) contributed 15 of his team’s 54 first-period points. Curry senior Michael Connery (Narragansett, R.I.) scored all 10 of his points in the first frame, while junior Sedale Jones (Pittsfield, Mass.) scored 12 of the Colonels’ 42 first-half points before pouring in 24 points and pulling down 12 rebounds over the final 20 minutes.

In the first half, the Gulls made 21-of-32 (65.6%) field-goal attempts, including 8-of-12 (66.7%) from beyond the arc, and their shooting percentage barely fell off in the second frame (60.7%). Curry did out-rebound the visitors, 28-19, in the second half, including a 17-5 edge on the offensive glass.

Five of Endicott’s players reached double figures in scoring. Henault scored a career-high 24 points, while sophomore Lachlan Magee (Melbourne, Australia) chipped in with 17. Junior Lance Green (Dorchester, Mass.) and freshman Andre Makris (Southbury, Conn.) contributed 16 apiece, while senior Erik Callo (Southington, Conn.) added 11. Callo also pulled down a team-best nine rebounds.

Jones turned in a double-double effort with game highs in points (36) and rebounds (13). Sophomore Lambros Papalambros (Quincy, Mass.) and Connery added 18 and 10 points, respectively.

Both teams return to action Tuesday at home, as the Gulls play the University of New England at 8:00 p.m., while the Colonels entertain Eastern Nazarene with a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
