Mastrullo, Jackson Earn First Team All-TCCC Honors

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College senior guard Mark Mastrullo (Billerica, MA) and sophomore guard Jarrell Jackson (Brockton, MA) were named to The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) First Team.
A total of 12 different institutions from The Commonwealth Coast Conference were represented on the 2009-10 All-TCCC Men’s Basketball Team and the list of major individual award winners, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.
In addition to the all-conference team, Gordon College senior Aaron Trigg was named TCCC Player of the Year and Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year, Gordon College senior Ben Gaskill and University of New England sophomore Quentin Thompson were chosen as TCCC Co-Defensive Players of the Year, Colby-Sawyer College freshman Jason Chevrefils was tabbed TCCC Rookie of the Year, Wentworth’s Tom Devitt was named TCCC Coach of the Year, and Gordon College captured the Team Sportsmanship Award. Voting for the All-TCCC team and each of the major awards was conducted among TCCC men’s basketball coaches.
Joining Trigg on the first team were Jackson and Mastrullo, Brady Bajema (Gordon), Jon Chaloux (Colby-Sawyer), and Sam Herrick (Wentworth).
Second team selections included Matt Abbott (Wentworth), Chima Ezeigbo (Eastern Nazarene), Rick Johnson (Western New England), Bryan Riley (Nichols), Dan Royce (Salve Regina), and Shane West (Wentworth).
Joining Chevrefils and Thompson on the third team were Phil Alibrandi (Regis), James Cooper (Regis), Lance Greene (Endicott), Anthony Johnson (U. of New England), and Graham Whitelaw (Endicott).
