MILTON, Mass. - Despite the 49-14 defeat to Endicott College, Montie Quinn rushed for 169 yards to achieve 4435 career rushing yards, passing the previous all-time career record set by Raphael Zammit from 2000-2003. Quinn, a junior, surpassed the record in just three seasons, setting single-season rushing records in back-to-back years with 1618 yards in the 2023 season and 1652 this season.
With the loss, the Colonels finish the regular season with an overall record of 4-6 and a conference record of 2-3.
After a shaky start by the Colonels' special teams gave Endicott an early 14-0 lead, Curry put together an impressive 12-play, 77-yard drive that ate up 7:14 off the clock and resulted in a two-yard touchdown pass from Michael Moriarty to Wesley Williams to put Curry within one score of the visitors.
The Colonels wouldn't score again until late in the fourth quarter with a drive that saw Quinn rush the ball 11 times, eventually finding the endzone on a nine-yard rushing score to set the new career rushing record and score his 13th touchdown of the season.
Moriarty was 11-for-23 with 97 yards, a passing touchdown, and an interception. Matthew Bowen was the leading receiver with three catches for 36 yards while Patrick Leary hauled in a team-high five receptions for 25 yards.
Michael Sims and Adem Kica led the Colonels defensively with nine tackles apiece. Sims had one tackle behind the line of scrimmage for a loss of two yards.
