
MILTON, Mass. - Curry College suffered a 38-13 loss to Ithaca in a non-conference collegiate football game Saturday afternoon at Walter M. Katz Field.
With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 1-3 on the season.
Montie Quinn (Goose Creek, S.C.) was the leading rusher for the Colonels, finishing with a total of 80 yards including a long of 15. Quinn scored a touchdown on a five-yard rush to cap off an 11-play, 75-yard drive that ate up 5:46 in the third quarter.
Colin Ridley (Peabody, Mass.) was the leading receiver for the Colonels with 53 yards throughout the competition including a long of 18. Michael Moriarty (Rockland, Mass.) filled the role of quarterback for most of the contest, finishing with 117 passing yards and 32 rushing, including a three-yard touchdown run near the end of regulation.
Hunter Agosti (Trumbull, Conn.) had the longest rush of the day, a 36-yard scramble that set the Colonels up with a first and goal late in the contest.
Adem Kica (Oxford, Conn.) and Henry O'Neill (Amesbury, Mass.) led Curry on the defensive side of the ball, making 13 total tackles each. The Colonels also forced a pair of turnovers, the first being an interception by Lucas Leander (Rockland, Mass.). Later in the game, Leander caused another turnover, forcing a fumble on the 1-yard line which Curry recovered.
Curry College enjoys a bye week to recover before returning to action on Saturday, October 12th, to host Alfred State for a noon kickoff.
