The Curry College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Todd Parsons as the next head coach of the College’s football program.
MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Todd Parsons as the next head coach of the College’s football program.
Parsons joins Curry after coaching three years at Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) rival Endicott College. He brings with him 15 years of coaching experience at the NCAA Divisions I, II, and III levels.
“We are super excited to have Todd as our next head football coach,” said Curry Director of Athletics Vinnie Eruzione. “Todd’s success within the CCC at both Salve Regina and Endicott will be invaluable to our football program. He carefully built a 15-year resume of collegiate coaching experience, and he was mentored by some great head coaches.”
“I am extremely excited to begin this new chapter,” said Parsons. “I would like to thank President Quigley, Athletic Director Vinnie Eruzione, and the search committee at Curry College for entrusting me with their football program. With the support of the administration, our student body, and our passionate alumni, we look forward to bringing Curry football back to a position of prominence.”
Parsons served as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator for Endicott, winning a CCC Championship in 2021. His team ranked near the top of the league in nearly all offensive categories, and he coached the CCC Offensive Rookie of the Year in wide receiver Shane Aylward. The Gulls went 17-5 in two seasons with Parsons on staff.
Prior to Endicott, Parsons was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Bentley University for one season, the pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Brown University for four seasons, the special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach at Assumption College for one season, and the offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator for three seasons at the CCC’s Salve Regina University.
Parsons is a 2007 graduate and Hall of Famer of Averett University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s of Science in physical education and wellness with a minor in coaching.
As a quarterback for the Cougars, Parsons was a two-time All-Conference selection, an Academic All-Conference honoree, and a captain of the program. He still ranks first in program history with 42 career passing touchdowns, second with 4,662 passing yards, and third with a passing efficiency of 129.5. As a senior in 2006, he led Averett to a USA South Conference Championship.
Parsons began his coaching journey at McDaniel College as a graduate assistant coach. He received his master’s degree in athletic administration from McDaniel in 2010.
“I would like to thank everyone at Endicott College for their belief and support over the last three years,” said Parsons. “The players, coaches, administrators, and families all helped prepare me for this next step in my professional career.”
“Todd is the son of David Parsons, a long-time successful football coach at Lehighton High School in Pennsylvania, so he understands the time and commitment it takes to run a football program,” said Eruzione. “He is a tireless recruiter and will be a great representative of what Curry College Athletics is all about.”
