Summer Spotlight - Beau Sidwell

Summer Spotlight - Beau Sidwell

MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletics has announced the implementation of the Summer Spotlight series, which will feature profiles of returning student-athletes and coaches across the Colonels' 14 NCAA Division III programs.

We continue the series with Beau Sidwell (Boalsburg, Pa.), a sophomore from our football program:

How did you get into your sport? I started playing at age eight after being influenced by the past football history in my family. I continued to play because it was fun to let loose without getting into trouble.

Why did you choose Curry? I choose Curry because of the positive influences that they have in their administration, coaching staffs, and student body.

What hobbies do you have outside of your sport? Playing with my dog, Dude.

Are you involved in other activities on the Curry campus? If so, explain. I work within the Athletic Department and I work with the Wellness Team.

What is your dream job? Athletic Director

What is your greatest sports moment? Setting the school record and tying the California record for longest high school kickoff return (99 yards).

What is your favorite thing to do off the playing surface with your teammates? Beat Mike Wad in video games.

Interesting fact about yourself? I dropped 66 points in a CYO basketball game.

Three things on your "bucket list"? 1. Win the CCC Football Championship, 2. Run a marathon, and 3. Visit all the NFL stadiums.

Do you have any pregame/pre-event rituals? If so, what are they? Call my family, eat Mike and Ike's, watch Deion Sanders highlights.
