Rogers-Reed Named as NEFC Defensive Player of the Week

MILTON, Mass. - Senior defensive lineman Parrish Rogers-Reed (Westfield, Mass.) has been named as the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against M.I.T. on October 3.

Despite Curry's 49-20 loss to the Engineers, Rogers-Reed had an outstanding night with a game-high 13 tackles. A dozen of his stops were of the solo variety, and he added three tackles for losses totalling 11 yards, including a sack for -6 yards with a forced fumble early in the fourth quarter.

Through five games, Rogers-Reed leads the Colonels with 41 total tackles (30 solo). Among those hits are a team-leading 8.5 tackles for loss (-29 yards) and a team-best four sacks (-19 yards).
