Lynch, Sadlers Earn Capital One Academic All-District Honors
MILTON, Mass. - A pair of Curry College student-athletes have earned Capital One Academic All-District honors. Senior Michael Lynch (Milton, Mass.) and junior Devin Sadlers (Somerset, Mass.) were named to the District I Football and Men's Soccer Teams, respectively, by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). District I is comprised of colleges and universities in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Lynch, an offensive lineman, is a criminal justice and management double major who currently holds a 3.64 cumulative GPA through six semesters. He started for the Colonels in all 10 contests in 2011, contributing to an offense that ranked third in the New England Football Conference (NEFC) with 381.6 yards per game. Lynch was also a full-time starter on the offensive line in 2010 and is a three-time NEFC All-Academic Team member.

Sadlers, a midfielder, is a nursing major who currently holds a 3.55 cumulative GPA through four semesters. He started for the Colonels in all 20 contests in 2011, leading the team in scoring with three goals, 10 assists and 16 total points. Sadlers was a three-time conference "Player of the Week" in 2011 and at season's end was named as a Second Team Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Star for the second consecutive year. Now a three-year starter for Curry, in 2009 he earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors as a freshman and was named as the squad's "Rookie of the Year."

To be eligible for the Capital One Academic All-America program, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).  He/she must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.  Academic All-District First Team selections advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors.
