Curry College was defeated 17-7 by Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in a non-conference collegiate baseball game Friday afternoon at Maheny Diamond.

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 17-7 by Saint Joseph's College of Maine in a non-conference collegiate baseball game Friday afternoon at Maheny Diamond.
With the loss, the Colonels' overall record slides to 8-20 and 4-10 in conference.
Kyle Doolin gave the Colonels a 1-0 lead with a solo home run in the top of the first inning, his second straight game with a homer. Devin Grove followed suit in the following inning, hitting a solo shot to give the Colonels their second run of the game.
Doolin drove in two more runs in the top of the third with an RBI single to right field with the bases loaded to put Curry within one run of the lead with the score at 5-4 in favor of the Monks by the end of the inning.
The Monks had a large lead on the Colonels going into the seventh inning, during which the visitors scored three runs in an attempt to build momentum. Brandon Mantilla-Mercado scored the first on a sacrifice fly, while Bobby Marshall and Brandon Polanco had RBI singles.
Curry College returns to action with a road matchup against Wentworth on Tuesday, April 29th, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
