SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Curry College junior outfielder Sam Barron (Florence, Mass.) has been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week for March 19-26.

Last week, Barron hit .417 (5-for-12) with two extra base hits (one triple, one home run) and six RBI as Curry collected a weekly record of 3-1. In an 11-2 victory over CCC foe Gordon, Barron went 2-for-4 from the plate, notched three RBI and collected a triple for the Colonels. Barron went on to collect two hits in three at bats, including a home run, and drove in two runs in a 5-1 victory over CCC opponent Nichols. On the week, he logged a .462 on-base percentage and an .833 slugging percentage.
