Summer Spotlight - Jocelyn Dimond

Summer Spotlight - Jocelyn Dimond

MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletics has announced the implementation of the Summer Spotlight series, which will feature profiles of returning student-athletes and coaches across the Colonels' 14 NCAA Division III programs.

We continue the series with Jocelyn Dimond (Weare, N.H.), a rising senior dual sport student-athlete from our softball and women's soccer programs:

How did you get into your sport? I have played since I could walk. It's in my blood.

Why did you choose Curry? The location and clinical sites they offer nursing students.

What hobbies do you have outside your sport? Enjoying the outdoors.

Are you involved in other activities on the Curry campus? If so, explain. I'm a member of the Alexander Graham Bell and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honors Societies.

What is your dream job? NICU Nurse

What is your greatest sports moment? Beating Roger Williams for the first time in 15 years in soccer.

What is your favorite thing to do off the playing surface with your teammates? Literally anything. Being part of a team is special. You have all your best friends right there with you.

Do you have any pre-game/pre-event rituals? If so, what are they? Before a soccer game, I always listen to the same three songs once I get on the field.

Favorites

Favorite athlete: Julie Ertz

Favorite part of being a part of your team: Having best friends to count on for anything. Feeling like you belong to something.

Favorite professor at Curry: Julianne Walsh and Julie Grady. I wouldn't be where I am today without them.

Favorite memory at Curry: Being at Curry - we all took it for granted. I would give anything to be back on campus with the 2020 seniors.

Favorite pregame pump-up song: Get Like Me - David Banner (It's my walkup song for softball)

Favorite show you are currently binging: One Tree Hill

Favorite vacation spot: White Mountains, N.H.

Favorite spot on campus: The athletic fields
