Women's Cross Country Places 7th at CCC Championship

WENHAM, Mass.— The University of New England captured the team championship at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships that were held on Gordon's soggy trails on Saturday, November 1.

UNE finished with 24 points.  Roger Williams was second with 53 points, Salve Regina was third with 63, followed by Endicott (119), Gordon College (135), Western New England (163), Curry (198), Nichols (269) and Eastern Nazarene (176).

Curry was led by freshman ElizaMarie Quinn-Alger (Harwinton, Conn.) who placed 49th with a time of 21:15.  Quinn-Alger was followed by sophomore Lydia Hixson (West Hartford, Conn.), 28:12 (61st), junior Leigha Sweeney (Braintree, Mass.), 28:45 (69th), senior Jessica Leary (Pembroke, Mass.), 28:49 (70th), freshman Victoria Gatley (Hanson, Mass.), 30:10, (82nd), freshman Hannah Wells (Whitman, Mass.), 30:14 (85th) and senior Victoria Norton (Fairfield, Conn.), 30:41 (87th).
