WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Curry College women's cross country team placed 26^th overall out of 39 teams on Saturday morning in the James Earley Invitational at Westfield Stanley Park.

Williams placed first with an overall score of 46 points. Curry placed 25^th overall with a team score of 794 points.

Curry was led by sophomore Leigha Sweeney (Braintree, Mass.) who placed 157^th with a time of 22:15.  Sweeney was followed by freshman Abigail Ceresi (North Kingstown, R.I.), 22:24 (164^th), sophomore Megan Erickson (Westbrook, Conn.), 23:36 (222^nd), freshman Lydia Hixson (West Hartford, Conn.), 23:50 (238^th), junior Jessica Leary (Pembroke, Mass.), 23:59 (242^nd), senior Molly Simon, 25:08 (282^nd), sophomore Shannon Hickey (Salem, N.H.), 26:56 (316^th) and junior Victoria Norton (Fairfield, Conn.), 27:37 (329^th).

The Colonels next meet is on Saturday, October 19, at the Western New England Invitational on the campus of Western New England University at 10:30 am.
