Women's Volleyball Swept Twice by Fisher

BROOKLINE, Mass. - The Curry College women's volleyball team suffered a pair of losses to Fisher College Thursday evening in a non-conference doubleheader at Pappas Gymnasium. Set scores were 25-20, 25-17, 25-13 in match one, followed by 25-20, 25-21, 25-17 in match two.

With the sweep, Curry falls to 8-10 overall on the season.

Senior Lexi Pereira (Attleboro, Mass.) paced Curry offensively with 14 kills and 10 digs in the first match of the evening. Classmate Faith Herity (River Edge, N.J.) finished the match with five kills and eight digs of her own.

Defensively, senior Amanda Anderson (Hanson, Mass.) finished one dig shy of a career-high with nine.

In match two, Curry was again led by Pereira, who notched her second double-double of the evening with 10 kills and 13 digs. She was one of three Colonels to record a dozen or more digs, joined by junior Lauren Guzman (Cranston, R.I.) with 13 and freshman libero Lexie Jenkins (Burns, Wyo.) with 12. 

Next up for the Colonels, they will head to Salem State University for a non-conference trimatch against the host Vikings and Lesley University. First serves are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
