Women's Volleyball Blanks Visiting CCC Rival Eastern Nazarene, 3-0

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College Colonels captured their first conference win of the season as they swept the Eastern Nazarene College Lions 25-10, 25-10 and 25-18 Saturday afternoon. Curry continued its home unbeaten streak and held off a late surge from Eastern Nazarene. The Colonels improve to 5-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference and the Lions drop to 3-12 and 0-2 in the CCC.

Junior Nicole Grambley (North Attleboro, Mass.) led the way offensively with nine kills and also added six service aces. Junior Makayla Hughes (Franklin, N.H.) had a match high 13 assists and junior Alyssa Keeney (Coventry, Conn.) was right behind with 12. Sophomore Courtney Carroll (Fairhaven, Mass.) recorded a game high in digs, totaling 14.

On the other side of the net, the Lions were led by junior Joanna Joseph (Brockton, Mass.) with six kills. Senior Hannah Welsh (Derry, N.H.) led the way in the assists department, totaling 10 and sophomore Oksana DiCamillo (Eighty-Four, Penn.) also added 10 digs for Eastern Nazarene.

The Colonels return to action with another conference game as Endicott comes to play Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. The Lions also return Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. as they host another conference opponent in Salve Regina.
