Women's Volleyball Absorbs 3-0 Loss at the University of New England

BIDDEFORD, Maine - Senior Paige Curran (Chelmsford, Mass.) totaled 14 kills to lead the University of New England in a 3-0 victory over Curry College in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's volleyball match played Wednesday evening (Oct. 10) at the Harold Alfond Forum. Set scores were 25-12, 25-6, and 25-20.

Junior setter Maria Kuehl (Middleton, N.H.) finished the night with eight service aces, five kills, 26 assists, and six digs. Senior Jillian Goldstein (Lynnfield, Mass.) and junior Angie Brunette (North Andover, Mass.) each contributed seven kills in two sets of action, and junior Kirsta Adie (Tyngsboro, Mass.) ended with a team-high eight digs.

For Curry, sophomore Courtney DiBiasio (Coventry, R.I.) led the way with five kills and five digs. Classmate Hannah Robison (Cumberland, R.I.) dished out 10 assists to aid the attack, while junior Tyla Miller (Marshfield, Mass.) accumulated a match-best 10 digs.

Both side are set to take part in tri-matches on Saturday. UNE will entertain Eastern Connecticut State University (1 p.m.) and the University of Southern Maine (3 p.m.), while Curry heads to Mount Ida College for a pair with Regis College (12 p.m.) and the Mustangs (2 p.m.).
