Women's Volleyball Cruises Past Visiting Becker 3-0 in Non-Conference Action
MILTON, Mass. - Senior Kendra LeMay (Chicopee, Mass) notched  match-highs in kills (9) and solo blocks (3), leading Curry to a 3-0 win against visiting Becker in college women’s volleyball action Tuesday night in Milton. Set scores were 25-14, 25-23 and 25-18. The Colonels improved to 6-1, while the Hawks fell to 0-7.

Curry took the first set comfortably, 25-14, and then won a closely-contested second match, 25-23.  The Colonels then closed out the match by winning 25-18 in the final set.

In addition to LeMay, Curry also got contributions from sophomore Hanna Robinson (Cumberland R.I.) with a team-high 20 assists and 10 digs, and sophomore Courtney DiBiasio (Conventry, R.I) with six kills and a team-best 17 digs.

Junior Katelyn Burns (Fall River, Mass.) led Becker with a team-high five kills, while also recording 11 digs.  Senior Joanna Slomiak (Brockton, Mass.) added four kills and a team-high seven assists.  Sophomore Danielle Robbie (Bellingham, Mass) dished out 17 assists.

Both teams resume play on Saturday, participating in road tri-matches. The Colonels travel to Eastern Nazarene to face the Lions as well as the Blue Jays of the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.). The Hawks take on host Mass. College of Liberal Arts then play a neutral-site match against Green Mountain.
