SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Curry College freshman outside hitter Courtney DiBiasio (Coventry, R.I.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the period of October 10-16. It marks the second time in 2011 that DiBiasio has earned this honor.

She posted impressive individual numbers in a 1-2 week for the Colonels. She posted double-doubles in each of the team’s three matches last week, and averaged 4.55 kills and 4.64 digs per set, and posted a hitting percentage of .282. DiBiasio’s best performance came in a 3-1 victory over Anna Maria, in which she recorded 20 kills and 22 digs.

Curry is currently 4-15 (0-5 CCC) and will resume play on October 18 with a conference match against visiting Endicott College.
