Women's Volleyball Shut Out 3-0 By Visiting Conference Foe UNE
MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College Women's Volleyball team fell 3-0 to the visiting Nor’Easters of the University of New England in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Wednesday evening in Milton. The set scores were 25-11, 25-18 and 25-16. UNE improves to 9-11 overall and 3-3 in CCC action, while the Colonels fall to 4-14 overall and 0-5 in league play.

Junior Paige Curran (Chelmsford, Mass.) led the Nor’Easters with nine kills, two service aces, two block solos and two block assists. Sophomore Angie Brunette (North Andover, Mass.) and freshman Leah Janelle (Madbury, N.H.) added eight kills apiece. Janelle also contributed four service aces. Sophomore Maria Kuehl (Middleton, N.H.) dished out a match-high 22 assists.

Curry was led by freshman Courtney DiBiaso (Coventry, R.I.) with a match-high 12 kills to go along with 11 digs. Sophomore Samantha Coleman (Reading, Mass.) chipped in with 14 digs. Junior Kaitlyn Poirier (Acushnet, Mass.) had a team-high nine assists.

UNE returns to action on Saturday, hosting a tri-match against Southern Maine (11:00 a.m.) and Maine Maritime (3:00 p.m.). The Colonels resume play on Friday, welcoming Bay Path for a 6:00 p.m. match.
