Women's Volleyball Captures 3-1 Home Win vs. Anna Maria

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College Women's Volleyball team picked up a win in four sets against visiting Anna Maria,  3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 25-27, 25-10), on Tuesday evening in Milton. The Colonels improved to 4-13, while the AMCATS fell to 3-15.

Curry led for most of the first and second sets, winning them by eight and five points, respectively. In set #3, Anna Maria captured a win in a back-and-forth affair by two points. The Colonels responded with a 15-point victory in the fourth set to clinch the match.

As a team, Curry collected a season high 43 kills. The Colonels were led by freshman Courtney DiBiaso (Coventry, R.I.) with a match-high 20 kills. She also added three service aces and 22 digs. Sophomore Jenna Butera (Norfolk, Mass.) contributed 10 kills, five digs and two solo blocks. Classmate Tyla Miller (Marshfield, Mass.) had 22 digs and three service aces. Junior Kendra LeMay (Chicopee, Mass.) recorded seven kills, one service ace and one block solo.

The AMCATS were led by senior Nichole Robbie with a team-high 10 kills. She also had 16 digs and two service aces. Sophomore Alex Rodriguez (Puerto Rico) recorded nine kills, three service aces and 13 digs. Senior Alicia Bonneau dished out a game-high 18 assists, while adding one kill and one service ace.
