Women's Volleyball Pushes Visiting Mitchell Before Falling 3-1
MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College Women's Volleyball team played  four closely-contested sets, but succumbed to visiting Mitchell College,  3-1 (25-23, 22-25, 27-25, 25-20), on Tuesday evening in Milton. The Mariners improved to 5-2, while the Colonels fell to 2-9.

Every set was a see-saw affair, with no team opening a lead larger than eight points. After Mitchell squeaked out the opening set by two, Curry evened the match with a three-point victory in set #2. The Mariners captured another two-point win in the third set then put the match away in the fourth by five points – the largest margin of the night.

Senior Bianca Young (Bridgeport, Conn.) led Mitchell with a team-high six kills. Freshman Nicole Terni (Ledyard, Conn.) had a match-high 27 digs. Senior Marie Connelly (Bronx, N.Y.) dished out a match-high 20 assists and added three kills.

As a team, the Colonels collected a season high 31 kills. Curry was led by freshman Courtney DiBiaso (Coventry, R.I.) with a match-high 13 kills. She also contributed three service aces and 12 digs. Sophomore Tyla Miller (Marshfield, Mass.) recorded a team high 18 digs. Freshman Michelle Theroux (Avon, Conn.) dished out a team best 13 assists to go along with nine digs.
