Women's Volleyball Tripped Up 3-0 By Eastern Nazarene and Saint Joseph
MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College women’s volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 matches against visiting Eastern Nazarene and Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Saturday in Milton. The Lions prevailed with set scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-16. The Blue Jays were victorious with scores of 25-17, 25-23 and 27-25.

CURRY VS. EASTERN NAZARENE

Sophomore Cayla Clinkscale (Winchendon, Mass.) led the Lions with a match-high 10 kills and a solo block. Senior Kaitlyn Yoder (Smithsburg, Md.) had three kills, a match-high six service aces and five digs. Freshman Kori Sorensen (Quincy, Mass.) led the team in digs with nine.

The Colonels were led by freshman Courtney DiBiasio (Coventry, R.I.), sophomore Jessica Crugnale (North Reading, Mass.) and junior Kendra LeMay (Chicopee, Mass.) with two kills each. Sophomore Samantha Coleman (Reading, Mass.) led the team with a match-high 26 digs.

CURRY VS. SAINT JOSEPH

The Blue Jays were led by sophomore Amanda Dondero (Mastic, N.Y.) with six kills, two service aces and a solo block. Freshman Megan Williams (Lakeville, Conn.) had eight digs and four service aces, both team-highs.

In the second match, DiBiasio and sophomore Jenna Butera (Norfolk, Mass.) led Curry with three kills apiece. Coleman and DiBiasio led the Colonels with 27 and 23 digs, respectively. Crugnale recorded a match-high eight service aces.

The Colonels fall to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action. Eastern Nazarene improves to 5-4 overall and 1-0 in CCC play. Saint Joseph now holds an overall record of 2-7.
