Two Colonels Earn CCC All-Conference Honors in Women's Tennis

BIDDEFORD, Maine - A pair of Curry College student-athletes received recognition on Friday afternoon as the Commonwealth Coast Conference announced its All-Conference awards.

Senior Sasha Borkov (Newton, Mass.) was named to the First Team All-Conference in singles, while the tandem of Borkov and junior Serena Wilson (Windsor, Conn.) garnered Second Team All-Conference doubles honors.

Borkov went 7-5 in singles play on the season for the Colonels, all from the number one position. In CCC play, Borkov went 4-2.

Wilson and Borkov won five matches paired up together, including a 3-3 mark in CCC action.

It is the fourth consecutive season Borkov has been named to CCC All-Conference team in singles. She was a First Team selection as a freshman and sophomore, and a Second Team selection as a junior. It is the first time she or Wilson have earned All-Conference honors in doubles.
