Women's Tennis Taken Down by Eastern Nazarene

QUINCY, Mass. - The Curry College women's tennis team fell 6-2 to Eastern Nazarene College Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at the ENC Tennis Courts.

With the defeat, Curry moves to 0-9 overall on the season.

The Lions took two of three doubles matches to take the early 2-1 lead. Curry pulled out a victory at the second doubles position, where juniors Grace Coopee (Hampden, Mass.) and Cayla Osowski (Westfield, Mass.) won 8-7 (7-5). Each of the three doubles matches were decided in a tiebreaker.

In singles play, Curry only won at fifth singles, where Osowski earned her second win of the day with a 6-4, 6-2 result. Coopee won the first set 6-4 and was tied 5-5 in the second set at fourth singles when the match was called due to darkness.

Next up for the Colonels, they will play their final home match of the fall season on Monday against Endicott College. First serves in the Commonwealth Coast Conference matchup are slated for 3 p.m.
