Women's Tennis Doubled Up by Bridgewater State

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Bridgewater State University in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon at the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts.

With the defeat, Curry moves to 0-4 overall on the season.

Curry dropped the first two matches of the day, before salvaging one doubles point at the number one position. Senior Sasha Borkov (Newton, Mass.) and junior Serena Wilson picked up the point for Curry, winning 8-6 over Bridgewater's Madeline Von Ruden and Mackenzie Silveira.

Bridgewater State took care of business in four of the afternoon's six singles matches to seal the 6-3 victory. Curry got wins at first singles from Borkov and fourth singles from junior Grace Coopee (Hampden, Mass.).

Curry will return to the courts on Thursday, continuing Commonwealth Coast Conference play at home against Western New England University. First serves in doubles play are slated for 3:30 p.m.
