DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Curry College women's tennis team fell 8-1 to UMass Dartmouth to open its season on Saturday afternoon.
With the defeat, the Colonels open the season with a mark of 0-1 overall.
Curry got its only victory of the afternoon at the number four singles position, where junior Grace Coopee (Hampden, Mass.) beat Corsair sophomore Bailey Clarke 6-3, 6-2.
Next up for the Colonels, they will host Lesley University for their home opener on Monday afternoon at the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts. First serves in doubles play are slated for 3:30 p.m.
