BIDDEFORD, Maine - Curry College sophomore Alexandra Borkov (Newton, Mass.) has been named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Women's Tennis First Team All-Conference in singles. The announcement came from the league office on Tuesday morning.

Borkov finished the fall 2021 season with a dazzling 12-1 record in singles play, all from the first singles position. All of her 12 victories came in straight sets. 

The sophomore's win against Rhode Island College on September 30 was one of just three matches dropped by the Anchorwomen all season.

Borkov's only loss of the season came to Nichols College's Antonia Carrero, who was named the CCC's Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year.

Tuesday's honor is the second consecutive First Team All-Conference selection for Borkov.
