Women's Soccer Blanked by Gordon in Regular Season Finale

WENHAM, Mass. - The Curry College women's soccer suffered a 2-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference defeat to Gordon College in the regular season finale for both teams on Tuesday evening at the Brigham Athletic Complex.

With the defeat, Curry sees its regular season come to a close with an overall record of 9-5-3 and 4-2-3 in the CCC.

The Fighting Scots scored both of their goals in the second half, finding the back of the net in the 51st and 75th minutes to secure the victory. The Colonels were hemmed into their defensive end for the majority of the second half as they looked to rally back. Gordon outshot Curry 20-3 in the second half, and 28-8 overall.

Two-time defending CCC Defensive Player of the Week Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.) looked sharp in net for the Colonels, making a season-high 14 saves in the defeat. Gordon's opening goal ended Correa's shutout streak at 242:29, going back to Curry's win over Suffolk on October 15.

Next up for the Colonels, they will host their first home playoff game at Walter M. Katz Field since 2016 on Saturday evening for the CCC Quarterfinals. Kick-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
