Women’s Soccer Blanked By CCC Opponent Western New England

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Curry College women's soccer team was defeated by Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Western New England 6-0 Saturday afternoon. This marks the Colonel's fourth loss in conference play this season.

With this defeat, Curry drops to 0-4 in the conference and 6-7 overall this season. With the win, Western New England improves to 3-1 in the conference and 7-5 overall.

The Colonels went scoreless through the contest only recording one shot on goal. With the lack of attacking presence by the Colonels, the Golden Bears comfortably came out on top.

The Golden Bears found the back of the net on six occasions. Goals were scored by Samantha Vitka (2), Isabella Montalvo (2), Allison Bruehwiler, and Allyson Hill.

The Colonels return to Walter M. Katz Field Tuesday for a conference matchup against Wentworth. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
