Tassinari Named as Head Women's Soccer Coach
MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletic Director Vinnie Eruzione has announced the appointment of Jason H. Tassinari of North Plymouth, Massachusetts as head women’s soccer coach.

“We are extremely excited to have Jason join our coaching staff here at Curry College,” said Eruzione. “His success at the D3 collegiate level in the past and his connections to the soccer community will make him a great fit for Curry.  Jason has a great passion for the student-athlete and understands the importance of doing well in the classroom, the community and on the playing fields.”

“I’m excited to build on the Curry Women’s Soccer tradition of the past,” said Tassinari. “I also look forward to putting my own stamp on the program. And I’m confident that we can elevate this program to prominence in the league and in New England.”

Born and raised in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Tassinari graduated from Plymouth North High School in 1991. He enjoyed a successful three-year stint as a varsity defender on the school’s boys’ soccer squad, and served as team captain during senior year.

Tassinari went on to attend Bridgewater State College from 1991-1995, majoring in Communications with a minor in Coaching. He was a four-year starting defender/sweeper on the Bears’ men’s soccer squad, serving as team captain during his senior season. Tassinari earned MASCAC All-Conference honors in 1993 and was named as Team Defensive MVP in 1994.

His extensive coaching career began in 1995 as assistant men’s soccer coach at Bridgewater State. Tassinari has since served as boys varsity head coach at King Phillip Regional High School (1996-1997); head men’s soccer coach at Stonehill College (1999-2002); assistant women’s soccer coach at Wheaton College (2003); head women’s soccer coach at Emerson College (2004-2007); girls varsity head coach at Carver High School (2008-2010); and girls varsity head coach at Bishop Stang High School (2011).

In his four years at Emerson, Tassinari compiled a career record of 45-20-9 (.669). He led the Lions to the GNAC regular-season championship in his inaugural campaign in 2004, and was subsequently named as conference “Coach of the Year.” In 2007, he guided Emerson to its first-ever appearance in the ECAC Division III New England Tournament.

Tassinari has worked full-time at JunglePlex (formerly Plymouth Sports Dome) since 1999 as a manager, head referee, and referee assignor. He has also served as a staff coach, coaching director and academy director for the South Shore Stingrays Soccer Club since 2008. In addition, he has worked for the United States Indoor Soccer Association since 2000 as a national referee and New England region instructor.

Tassinari lives in North Plymouth with his wife Andrea (DiFalco), who currently serves as girls’ varsity soccer coach at Brockton High School.
