Women’s Lacrosse Bested by Bison

DUDLEY, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 18-11 by Nichols College Wednesday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference women's lacrosse game at Venditti Field.

With the loss, the Colonels' overall record falls to 4-9, and their conference record drops to 0-4.

Grayson Goolgasian (Johnston, R.I.), Chloe Chevrier (West Suffield, Conn.), and Natalie Keenan (Haverhill, Mass.) all scored once in the opening period to account for Curry's first three goals. Ava Doyle (Lynnfield, Mass.) and Ellie Hardman (Hanover, Mass.) also picked up assists on the last two goals.

Chevrier and Goolgasian both scored unassisted goals in the second quarter. Goolgasian also assisted Doyle, who scored right before the end of the period to leave Curry trailing 12-6 heading into halftime.

Chevrier continued her dominant performance by opening up the third quarter with back-to-back goals. Casey Conneely (Arlington, Mass.) scored with seven seconds left in the period to bring the Colonels within five (14-9).

Chevrier scored her fifth goal of the game just 34 seconds into the final quarter of play while Hardman capped off scoring for the game, leaving the Colonels trailing 18-11 by the final buzzer.

Curry College returns to action on Saturday, April 13th, with a home game against Wentworth beginning at 11 a.m.
