Women's Lacrosse Beats Dean for Fourth Straight Victory

FRANKLIN, Mass. - Curry College defeated Dean College 15-13 Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference collegiate women's lacrosse game at Grant Field.

The win marks four straight for the Curry, as the Colonels improve to an overall record of 4-2.

Grayson Goolgasian (Johnston, R.I.) paved the way for Curry, scoring in every single quarter to finish with a game-high seven goals and two assists. Goolgasian also led all players with five groundballs and three caused turnovers.

Ellie Hardman (Hanover, Mass.) was another major contributor, finishing with five goals, four ground balls, and two turnovers. Natalie Keenan (Haverhill, Mass.) added a pair of goals while Nicole Michael (New Hope, Pa.) finished with one.

The Colonels jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in the first quarter, followed by a second quarter that saw Dean enter halftime within two goals of the Curry lead (7-5). Curry clung to a slight lead for the remainder of the contest, and with the score at 14-13 in favor of the Colonels with just over two minutes remaining, Goolgasian scored the final goal of the contest to ensure victory for Curry.

Zoe Ratcliffe (Medway, Mass.) played the entire game in net for the Colonels, finishing with 11 saves to pick up the win.

The Colonels return to action on Monday, March 18th, to host UMass Dartmouth, beginning at 4 p.m.
