Women's Lacrosse Beaten by Wellesley

WELLESLEY, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 18-7 by Wellesley in a non-conference collegiate women's lacrosse game Tuesday night at Butler Stadium.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 0-2 on the young season.

Curry scored three times in the opening quarter with all three goals being unassisted. Senior Ellie Hardman (Hanover, Mass.) was the first to score to give the Colonels an early 1-0 lead. Junior Natalie Keenan (Haverhill, Mass.) scored a minute and a half later and would score again on a free position shot with 51 seconds remaining in the first.

Keenan scored the rest of Curry's goals with two more in the second and one each in the third and fourth to total six goals throughout the contest.

Curry College returns to action on Thursday, March 7th, for a home game against Rhode Island College beginning at 4 p.m.
