MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletics has announced the implementation of the Summer Spotlight series, which will feature profiles of returning student-athletes and coaches across the Colonels' 14 NCAA Division III programs.
We start the series with Allie Wysocki (Agawam, Mass.), a rising senior from the Colonels' women's lacrosse program:
How did you get into your sport? I started playing softball in high school and switched to lacrosse for a faster pace game!
Why did you choose Curry? The campus was beautiful when I came to visit.
What hobbies do you have outside your sport? I used to play soccer and still love to play it.
What is your dream job? Working within the Boston Court System.
What is your greatest sports moment? Beating Western New England by one with 40 seconds left by sophomore year.
What is your favorite thing to do off the playing surface with your teammates? Hanging out in the suites and supporting our other athletic teams.
Interesting fact about yourself? I love to sing, even though I am really bad at it.
Three things on your "bucket list"? 1. Backpack Europe when I graduate, 2. Vacation in Australia, 3. Skydive
Do you have any pre-game/pre-event rituals? If so, what are they? Wipe the leftover eye black on my hand on my right thigh, and I do not take my jewelry off until we are on the field.
