SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Abby Dubel (Wolfeboro, N.H.) of the Curry College women's lacrosse team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Dubel was a strong defensive force for the Colonels as she totaled six ground balls, 14 draw controls, and nine caused turnovers in a 1-1 week. She had three ground balls, four draw controls, and two caused turnovers against UMass-Dartmouth before putting together a career game against Thomas. She had two career-highs against the Terriers with 10 draw controls and seven caused turnovers as her team played to a decisive 21-1 victory.

Dubel and the Colonels return to action on Tuesday, March 27 at Western New England University at 4:00 p.m. in their CCC opener.
