Knowlton, Parker and Dubel Earn All-CCC Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its 2017 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams and major award winners Friday afternoon. Three Curry College student-athletes earned all-conference nods.  Senior Malorie Knowlton (Norfolk, Mass.) was named to the First-Team while senior Kelly Parker (Branford, Conn.) and freshman Abby Dubel (Wolfeboro, N.H.) were named to the Third-Team All-CCC.   

Knowlton played in all 17 games, making 17 starts. She led the team and the conference in caused turnovers with 71.  Knowlton finished second on the team and tied for third in the conference with 52 ground balls.  She tallied 43 goals and dished out seven assists for 50 points which ranked her second on the team for both points and goals. 

Parker played in all 17 games, starting in 16.  She led the team in goals, assists and total points.  The attacker netted 50 goals and helped on 16.  Parker recorded 78 draw controls which was also a team-high.  In the CCC she placed third for draw controls (78), third for goals (50) and in a four-way tie for points (66).

Dubel played in all 17 games, making 17 starts.  She led the team in ground balls with 56 and second in caused turnovers with 39.  In the CCC she finished first in ground balls (56) and second in caused turnovers (39).  The freshman recorded 30 points on 23 goals and seven assists.   Her 30 points placed her fourth on the team.
