MILTON, Mass. - Curry College junior defender Mel Brickey (Chelmsford, Mass.) has been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week.  Brickey continued her strong play in a 2-1 week for the Colonels.  She won an impressive 29 draw controls and caused 15 turnovers in just three games.  She also picked up 15 ground balls and tallied 13 points on 11 goals and two assists.  She had a season high eight points on seven goals and one assist against Framingham State.
