Hansbury and Robichaud Earn TCCC Weekly Honors

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College senior attacker Ashley Hansbury (Chelmsford, Mass.) has been named as TCCC Offensive Player of the Week.  Hansbury put up 20 points, 11 draw controls, and 7 ground balls in a 3-0 week for the Colonels.  Hansbury had two goals, one assist, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers in a 11-10 win over Fitchburg State. She followed up with a seven goal performance, including the game-winner, in a 18-16 victory over Scranton, then closed out the week with three goals, seven assists, and eight draw controls in a 28-1 win over Regis to open up conference play.

Curry College senior defender Rachel Robichaud (Billerica, Mass.) has been named as Defensive Player of the Week.  Robichaud led the Colonel defense with 13 ground balls, 14 draw controls, and 15 caused turnovers in a 3-0 week.  Robichaud also contributed on the offensive end, tallying 10 goals and adding a pair of assists. Her best game came against Scranton, as she grabbed four ground balls, seven draw controls, and a pair of caused turnovers while also chipping in with five goals in a 18-16 win. Robichaud was dominant against Regis, with 10 caused turnovers, eight ground balls, and seven draw controls to go along with five goals and two assists.

The Colonels currently have a 4-1 record and are 1-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.
