Women's Ice Hockey Plays to Draw Versus Rams

BOSTON - Curry College played to a 2-2 draw against Suffolk University Friday night in a Commonwealth Coast Conference women's ice hockey game at the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

After a scoreless overtime period, the Colonels won 2-0 in a shootout over the Rams but the game still resulted in a draw, giving Curry an overall record of 9-11-4 and a conference record of 5-8-4.

Junior Grayson Goolgasian (Johnston, R.I.) finally put the Colonels on the board 5 minutes into the third period, scoring a goal with assists being credited to her classmate Hannah Berkowitz (Mattawan, Mich.) and freshman Julia Small (Methuen, Mass.).

Trailing by one goal with only nine seconds remaining in regulation, junior Danielle Reid (Plainview, N.Y.) scored off a pass from freshman Anna Kahl (Simsbury, Conn.) to tie the game at 2-2 and send it into overtime.

Reid and Goolgasian both scored in overtime to win the shootout for the Colonels.

Graduate goaltender Soleil Archambeault (London, Ontario) played the entire game in net for Curry, making 32 saves in the draw.

Curry College closes out regular season play on Saturday, February 17th, with a home matchup against Endicott College beginning at 3 p.m.
