Women’s Ice Hockey Lose in Overtime to Salve Regina

CANTON, Mass. - Curry College suffered a 2-1 loss in overtime to Salve Regina Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference women's ice hockey game at the Canton Ice House.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 2-5-2 and a conference record of 0-3-2.

The Colonels were quick to score with sophomore Megan Sawatzky (Lemont, Ill.) finding the back of the net just 3:42 into the game to score her first goal of the season and put Curry on top 1-0.

Grad student Soleil Archambeault (London, Ontario) and sophomore Sarah Kerr (Cochrane, Alberta) split time in net for the Colonels, combining for 49 saves in the loss.

Curry College returns to action on Sunday, December 3rd, in a road rematch against Salve Regina beginning at 1 p.m.
