Women's Basketball Outpaced by Bison

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 114-92 by Nichols College Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference women's basketball game at Dr. Eleanor Meyerhoff Katz Gymnasium.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 5-11 and 0-8 in conference play.

Despite the loss, Curry scored 92 points, its highest scoring total of the season, led by sophomore Olivia Gourdine (Barnstable, Mass.), who scored a career-high 18 points in just 18 minutes of play. Freshman Samantha Conti (Woodbury, Conn.) and Lauren Morse (Holyoke, Mass.) also had a big impact coming off the bench, scoring 10 and 11 points, respectively.

Sophomore Lauren Dunn (Hanson, Mass.) led the Curry starters with 13 points while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out six assists. Freshman Kasey Reeves (Millbury, Mass.) was one rebound shy of the double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds while junior Kylie McCarthy (Beverly, Mass.) had a game-high 11 assists.

Curry College returns to action on Tuesday, January 23rd, to face off against Wentworth in a road game beginning at 7 p.m.
