Women's Basketball Beaten by UNE

BIDDEFORD, Maine - Curry College was defeated by a score of 71-44 by the University of New England Wednesday night in a Commonwealth Coast Conference women's basketball game at Coach Beaudry's Court.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 5-10 while dropping to 0-7 in conference play.

Sophomore Lauren Dunn (Hanson, Mass.) was the leading scorer for Curry, finishing with 14 points while knocking down two three points and going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. She was also effective on the defensive end, finishing with three steals and two blocks

Other major contributors were freshmen Sophie Hilbrunner (Waltham, Mass.) with a team-high 10 rebounds, three blocks, and two steals, and Samantha Conti (Woodbury, Conn.) with eight points and three steals coming off the bench.

Curry College returns home on Saturday, January 20th, to face off against Nichols College beginning at noon.
