MILTON, Mass. - Curry College Women's Basketball fell to Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Western New England by a final score of 72-62 at home Saturday afternoon. 

With the loss, the Colonels fall to 6-15 overall this season and 2-12 in the CCC.

The opening half in Katz Gym saw the visiting Golden Bears take charge, tallying 44 points to Curry's 26. WNE's 17 successful shots from the field in the first half propelled the Golden Bears to an 18 point lead at halftime. 

Curry's Lauren Dunn (Hanson, Mass.) took charge in the third quarter, tallying 16 points in 10 minutes. Dunn's dominant third quarter brought the Colonels within eight points of the visiting Golden Bears. 

Curry's Kathryn Dunn (Hanson, Mass.) and Kylie McCarthy (Beverly, Mass.) each knocked down threes on back-to-back possessions to come within one-point of the visitors with under six minutes remaining in regulation. The Golden Bears took over in the final moments of the conference matchup, out scoring Curry 12-2 to seal a 72-62 victory over the Colonels on Katz Gymnasium.

The Colonels were led by Lauren Dunn (27 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists), Kylie McCarthy (12 points), and Kathryn Dunn (10 points).

The Colonels return to the court Tuesday as they host CCC opponent Suffolk in Katz Gymnasium at 5 PM.
