BIDDEFORD, Maine - Junior Emily Bussiere (Stow, Mass.) and the Curry softball team were each recognized by the Commonwealth Coast Conference as the league announced its end of season awards on Tuesday afternoon.

The Colonels earned the Team Sportsmanship Award, while Bussiere was named the the CCC's Second Team All-Conference in the outfield.

Bussiere was Curry's second-leading hitter in 2022, batting .361 with team-highs of 39 hits, 18 runs scored, and 14 stolen bases. Defensively, the junior recorded 76 putouts as Curry's everyday centerfielder, and recorded seven outfield assists.

Bussiere, a sociology major, earns her first All-Conference selection. Curry also earns its first ever Team Sportsmanship from the CCC, an award the league began handing out in 2003.
