Cross Country Runs Founding Tree Invitational

AMHERST, Mass. - The Curry College men's and women's cross country teams each competed Saturday morning in the Founding Tree Invitational at Hampshire College.

The women's team had a pair of runners finish in the top 20 of the 75-runner field. Senior Tori Carleton (Whitman, Mass.) placed 13th on the 6k course, running a time of 28:15.74. She was followed closely by sophomore Mackenzie Husson (Derry, N.H.), who placed 20th at 28:57.44. Junior Grayson Cheek (Wellesley, Mass.) placed 28th overall with a time of 30:30.98 to round out the Colonels.

On the men's side, the top Curry finisher was sophomore Alexander Nason (Easton, Mass.), who crossed the finish line in 44th at 33:19.90. Classmate Paul Alfonso (Northborough, Mass.) placed 56th overall at 34:14.67, with Alex Jodoin (Woburn, Mass.) placing 84th overall at 39:26.52 to round out the Curry runners.

Next up for the Colonels, they will run the Suffolk Invitational on October 14 at Dorchester's Franklin Park.
