MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College men's tennis team was overwhelmed by Nichols College Saturday afternoon, falling to the visiting Bison 9-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts.
With the defeat, Curry moves to 0-8 overall on the season and 0-2 in the CCC.
Nichols did not drop a single point in doubles play, taking a 3-0 lead heading to singles with a trio of 8-0 victories.
The Bison did not let their guard down in singles, winning three matches 6-0, 6-0 to help secure the sweep. Junior Grant Palmer (Charlotte, N.C.) got his match to 7-5 in the second set, but could not quite get over the hump in the six position, falling 6-1, 7-5.
Curry will return to the courts on Tuesday, hosting non-conference foe Regis College. First serves are slated for 3 p.m.
