Men's Tennis Posts 6-3 Victory Over Wentworth in League Match

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College men's tennis team took four of six singles points and two doubles points in its 6-3 victory over the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Saturday at the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts. The win moves the Colonels to 3-8 overall and 1-2 in the CCC. The loss drops the Leopards to 6-8 overall and 1-2 in the league play.

Curry's top singles player junior Aidan Roach (Norwell, Mass.) earned a 6-0, 6-1 win over Wentworth's Tyler Hall and teamed with senior Richie Hefler (Canton, Conn.) for an 8-2 first doubles win. Curry's Dawson Stento (Wellesley Hills, Mass.) knocked off Wentworth's Jarrett North 6-2, 6-1 in second singles and partnered with freshman Lorenzo Russo (Lynnfield, Mass.) for an 8-4 second doubles victory. Both Hefler and Russo were also winners at third and fourth singles, respectively.

Curry will next play on Tuesday, April 9 at home against UMass Boston at 3:30 p.m. Wentworth returns to action on Wednesday, April 10 at Gordon for a conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m.
